On this website you can adopt the Ver and raiseissues about the prblems of our river.
BBC Three Counties RiverVer Programme This links to the BBC website and the programme they made in 2006 starring our own Andy Webb. When you get to the BBC page you need to click on "Beds, Herts and Bucks" and then "From a river...." There is a description of walk around the lake and the Abbey.
Three Valleys Water The water supply company which serves the local area and generously sponsors the printing and posting of the Ver Valley Society Newsletter each quarter and has done since 2002
Dacorum Environmental Forum Water Group - the forum water group covers the rivers Ver, Gade and Bulbourne.
Countryside Management Services -
The Countryside Management Service works throughout Hertfordshire to enable local communities to enjoy, care for and enhance their local environment. Walking and cycling page details " Health Walks"and other events/ routes.
Herts Bird Club - this site gives daily information of birds seen in Hertfordshire including where they have been seen -often includes sightings in the Ver Valley.
Herts Geology Society - this site gives information and news about the events and meetings. Also links to other geology sites.
Redbournbury Watermill - working water mill on the Ver between Redbourn and St Albans selling bread made from flour milled on site. Check for opening times.

Chilterns Society - monitors the state of health of rivers in the Chilterns and organises events/ walks.
