Verulamium Park Sunday 21 June

Happy Birthday! The Ver Valley Society is celebrating its 50th year. Our gazebo will be up from 11am to 3pm on Sunday 21st June, on the open area by the Ver between the Lake and Westminster Lodge.

It’s a drop in event for members to call by and say ‘hello’ and non-members to come and find out more about the Society, its role on the Ver and the Chalk Stream Challenge. There will be river dipping for all the family, a tank full of fascinating chalk stream invertebrates from the Ver, water quality testing kits plus a display of past and present VVS material.

There are also two walks on the day – from the source of the Ver and the confluence with the Colne to Verulamium Park, with the walkers arriving at lunchtime. (It’s FREE to sign up here)
